Sibiu International Fringe Festival began in 2006. That's when Universtudent was born, a festival dedicated to all student initiatives. In 2008 it became an international festival, focusing mainly on the participation of independent theatre troupes. Since 2009 it has taken the title of Fringe, being called Universtudent International Festival & Fringe, and later, in 2011, it reached its current name and became exclusively a festival of independent bands. SIBIU FRINGE is a powerful platform bringing people together, the most creative and talented young people to share experiences, ideas and resources. That is why we think of each edition of event programs that will bring joy and inspiration to both the invited artists, the young participants and the Sibiu public.
